The Newest Solution To Accessible Health Care

What Is A Nurse Practitioner?

A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an endorsed, highly qualified clinician with the advanced training to diagnose and treat a wide range of acute and chronic conditions across all age groups.

At Mallee Border Health Centre, our NP provides comprehensive, patient-centred care by:

  • Assessing, diagnosing, and treating health conditions.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (e.g., blood tests and medical imaging).
  • Prescribing medications and creating tailored treatment plans.
  • Providing health education and referring to specialists.

Our Collaborative Approach

As a nurse practitioner-led medical centre, we champion a multidisciplinary approach. Our NP works closely with our onsite General Practitioner, allied health team, and external specialists, pharmacies, and hospitals to deliver coordinated, timely, and evidence-based care.

Locations

Based in Pinnaroo, we also run regular outreach clinics in Murrayville and Underbool, ensuring high-quality healthcare is accessible closer to home for our rural communities.
